# n8n

> Send qualified lead events from traxy to your active n8n workflow.

Use n8n to send signed lead events to your active n8n workflow.

## Prepare the receiver

Create a webhook receiver and copy its HTTPS URL. Make sure the workflow can accept requests outside a temporary test session. Prepare an authentication header only if the receiver requires it.

## Connect and test

1. Open **Integrations** > **n8n**.
2. Enter a connection name and the HTTPS endpoint.
3. Add the required authentication header, if any, and save the connection.
4. Open **Settings** to review triggers and **Payload & help**.
5. Use **Send test payload** and verify the result at the receiver.
6. Open **Routes** to connect an audience to an endpoint and choose its delivery mode.

Follow [routing guidance](https://docs.traxy.ai/integrations/routes.md) for automatic delivery, manual sends, and pause/resume behavior.

## Map and verify events

Use the payload samples in the app to map event metadata and available lead, company, contact, and engagement fields. First-delivery and repeat-engagement events have different purposes.

Requests include **X-Traxy-Signature** and **X-Traxy-Timestamp**. Follow **Payload & help** to verify signatures with the signing secret. If you rotate that secret, update your receiver before relying on later events.

An existing authentication header stays saved when its edit field is empty. Use the explicit removal action when you want to clear it.

## Handle failures

A test sends one immediate request. Lead delivery can retry temporary failures, so make downstream processing safe for repeated events.

Inspect both the delivery result and the receiver. Fix an expired URL, authentication failure, or unavailable workflow before resuming a paused route. Disconnecting stops future delivery through the connection; it does not delete records already received.
