Your ICP decides who counts as a qualified lead in traxy. A narrow ICP usually improves precision. A broader ICP usually increases volume. Revisit it whenever your target market changes.
Where to update your ICP
- During onboarding, after traxy prepares a Signal Brief from your company website.
- Later in ICP Configuration from the main app navigation.
People criteria
Use people criteria to describe the individual you want traxy to prioritize.
- Job Titles help define seniority or function.
- Departments help narrow the team you want to reach.
- Seniority Level helps distinguish decision-makers and individual contributors.
- Locations help limit results to the regions that matter to you.
Company criteria
Use company criteria to describe the type of company you want to target.
- Company Size
- Industries
- Revenue
- Funding
- Keywords & Niches
These fields work together. For example, broad industries with narrow keywords can be more useful than a long list of overlapping industries.
Build a better ICP
- Start with the fewest signals that clearly define a fit.
- Use terms your buyers would use about themselves or their companies.
- Remove broad terms if low-fit leads keep appearing.
- Broaden one field at a time if you are seeing engagement but not enough qualified leads.
During onboarding, review all three ICP areas before you continue:
- people criteria
- company criteria
- keywords
After onboarding, Agent, Post Signals, and Watchlist use your active ICP when they decide which people should become qualified leads.
Use Mark as good fit and Mark as bad fit in Leads to add reasons and notes. This feedback helps traxy improve future qualification.
Save changes, watch your dashboard, leads, and post-level results for a short period, then adjust one variable at a time. That makes it easier to see what changed lead quality.
When to update your ICP
Update your ICP when:
- your team changes who it wants to target
- you are getting too many low-fit leads
- you are seeing real engagement but very few qualified leads
- you launch into a new market, region, or segment
